The standalone version of GRITS is designed for use on a single computer for tracking only one project at any a time. It contains all the basic GRITS functionality and is available as a standalone application for the Microsoft Windows 98, 2000 and XP operating systems. This is the entry-level version of the GRITS product range.
Standalone GRITS 2005 let’s you:
- Record all your project information together in a single area.
- Save Meeting, Literature Review and Research Data together, including links to meeting agendas and literature review web sits or book review.
- Create sets of dictionary terms and phrases.
- Keep an ongoing task list of thing you and others need to do and by when.
- Use the user-configurable Navigator tree nodes group your information into logical sets or groups.
- Create links between related or similar data items
Standalone GRITS make single project management easy and simple to do. Figure 1 shows the Standalone GRITS program running. This screen shot shows the Navigator in the background and open Meeting, Literature Review and Task forms.

Figure 2 shows the GRITS Navigator. The Navigator forms the heart of the GRITS system.
Use it to create, manage, view and join data items together.
