There are many new features in GRITS.Net 2005, some of which include:
- The ability to create new, and edit existing, Resource and Object items, including the ability to hide and show individual fields or sets of fields.
- Full term extraction and data indexing and search on all data items.
- A new Task Viewer component.
- A new Text Assistant component.
- Customizable Internet search functionality, with integrated Google searching.
- Ability to create scheduled back up aliases for overnight and daily data backups.
Additionally, many of the current GRITS features have been greatly upgraded to included new and more refined functionality. This includes:
- New Navigator nodes for Project Documents, Previous Internet Site Searches and user-definable Data Filters.
- Integrated Subject and General Notes
- Extend “Link To” functionality
- Integrated Context sensitive help

With each new release of GRITS.Net 2005 more new features will be added, and those currently there will be refined. As with the other products in the GRITS line, this will happen primarily on user feedback and ideas.
Future development will concentrate in particular on Internet access and automated data collection.
